My Stepmom’s Weekend reviewed: the slow-burn entry in Riley Reid’s Candy AI lineup

Setup and first impressions

Of her first four series I assumed this would be the most by-the-book. It turned out to be the most restrained, which won me over sooner than I expected.

The whole story takes place over one weekend. The father goes off on a fishing trip, and responsibility for his college-age son, home for two days, falls to the young wife he leaves behind. The description hinges on one line: she has long been keeping an eye on him, and he never picked up on it. Candy Shorts leans heavily on step-family stories, yet this Riley Reid x candy.ai version stays small: a single house, two people and a tension that was there before the opening scene.

On the poster, her twin is seated beside a swimming pool in red swimwear, and the household gathers behind her. The series is classed as a Creator series rather than a Spicy title, which affects what you can watch free.

Episode guide

Five numbered episodes appear on candyshorts.com, where its slug is my-stepmom-s-weekend, while on candy.ai the series sits in the row called Shorts featuring Creators. At our September 2026 visit, the three paid installments wore a New label. Each runs about a minute (episode 1 is 1:01), and every installment picks up where the last one stopped.

Cast

• The stepmother: played by the AI twin covered in our guide to Riley Reid’s digital twin. Of her seven series on the platform, this is the slow-burn one.
• The stepson: an adult of college age, visiting for the weekend.
• The father: his departure triggers the plot.

Her name appears on the poster, but the stepmother is an AI creation, not a performance captured on camera. The likeness comes by license through Candy Creators; the actual Riley Reid filmed nothing new here, and AI tools are used to make the content, the operator says.

In my view this is the series among her first four that leans hardest on the twin herself; the script offers no cover.

Free versus paid

A free account covers the first two episodes, and Episodes 3 to 5 require Premium. With no Spicy tag, the series follows the platform’s usual split rather than the rule that denies free episodes to Blackout at My Yacht Party. In September 2026 a one-month Premium plan is $13.99; the lowest rate, $3.99 a month, means committing to a year. Content notes

Strictly 18+. The explicit rating covers Episodes 3 to 5, meaning nudity and sex scenes; Episodes 1 and 2 only set up the situation. Every character is an adult, and the step-family setup is a familiar fictional device, nothing more. Teaser clips posted to TikTok, Instagram and YouTube are edited to meet each network’s rules, which keeps them free of anything explicit. Review verdict

Among Riley Reid’s first four series, this one is conventional by design and tightly controlled in delivery. The one-weekend frame fits a one-minute format well. Nobody gets explained twice, and the free pair establishes the cast before the paywall appears. Every Candy Shorts title shares one weakness. The total runtime is only a few minutes, so it plays as a short story rather than a series, and the stop after Episode 5 is abrupt.

Anyone weighing a payment for this series alone should know that the free pair reveals the tone completely and the payoff not at all, and that is by the platform’s design. The case for paying gets better if you would also use Premium for her other series or for the chat twin.

Having finished it, I would recommend it to anyone new to Candy Shorts, since it is the least loud of her series. Whether you count that in its favor depends on what you were hoping to find.
