The premise: a celebrity in the spare room

My Wife’s Best Friend turns Riley Reid’s actual fame into its engine. In the platform’s description, the wife invites her oldest friend to stay with the couple. That friend, who is a globally recognized adult performer, gets the spare bedroom. To the wife she is simply family, and nothing strikes her as unusual, while the husband is fully aware of whom they have put up. All the drama sits in that gap.

The poster sums it up in one image: a living room with three people in it, the wife at ease and the husband plainly not.

Confession first: among Candy AI’s first four Riley Reid series, this was the one I kept postponing, because the pitch sounded like a lone gag drawn out for five episodes. That worry proved wrong, since the opener’s awkward-houseguest mood carries further than I expected.

Elsewhere the twin plays a girlfriend’s big sister, a yacht-party host, a stepsister and a stepmom. The Spicy Riley Reid’s Forbidden Stepdaddy, the sixth, keeps its plot undisclosed; the seventh, Our Host Is Riley Reid, has her hosting at a beach house. Episodes at a glance

As of September 2026 candyshorts.com lists five numbered episodes for the series. On candy.ai itself, the Shorts feed places it within the “Shorts featuring Creators” row, and the three most recent episodes carry a New flag. No titles for single episodes are published by the platform, hence the table below groups them by access.

Episodes last roughly one to three minutes each, and together they tell one continuous story.

Who is who

• The best friend: Riley Reid’s AI twin in the role, a celebrity guest who is only passing through and handles being noticed with ease.
• The husband is the viewer’s stand-in; one look and he knows who the guest is, and he spends the episodes pretending nothing is unusual.
• The wife invited her friend and finds nothing odd in the arrangement; the plot runs on her not noticing anything.

Every one of the three is AI-generated. Through the Candy Creators program, the guest’s face is a licensed likeness, and no footage of the real performer was shot for it.

What it costs

Registering and confirming your age unlocks the first two episodes at no cost; Premium is required for the final three, and because there is no Spicy tag nothing changes that split. Copies hosted elsewhere are unauthorized. Pages that promise the full series for nothing, or a supposed Riley Reid leak on Candy AI, are the bait explained in our guide to leaked Candy AI Shorts, and none of them ever supplies episodes 3 to 5. Review verdict

What impressed us about My Wife’s Best Friend is its restraint. A cheaper take would have turned the celebrity guest into the whole gag. This one keeps its focus on the husband squirming, while her fame hums along in the background as steady pressure. Of the collaborations with Riley Reid on Candy AI, it shows the most self-awareness, and its twin has more of a role to play than a template face.

The flaws are familiar from the platform: serviceable dialogue, a household that feels thin, and AI rendering that wobbles in wide shots. Among her non-Spicy releases, none is a better place to begin, for anyone already sold on the twin as a Premium-month purchase. Undecided viewers can watch the free two and stop; a couple of minutes shows whether the premise lands.

A personal data point: I watched all five back to back and then moved directly to My Stepmom’s Weekend, which I rarely do with this catalog.

What works

• The husband’s discomfort stays in focus while the guest’s celebrity acts as constant background pressure.
• The twin gets real character work instead of simply standing in for a face.
• Five episodes tell one continuous story, and the first two are free to sample.

What could be better

• The dialogue is functional and the household setting is thin.
• AI rendering drifts in wider shots.
• The last three episodes are Premium-only, so nothing past episode 2 is free.
