Quick answer

Checked October 2026

Not Under My Roof arrived on Candy AI Shorts on September 25, 2026, after being absent from our check the day before, and for a short time it carried the highest series ID. Over five episodes, a man about to marry sees his fiancée’s mother call off his bachelor party, then propose something private once her daughter has gone to sleep. A Candy.ai account opens episodes 1 and 2 at no charge. Episodes 3 to 5 cost 12 tokens each, unless you subscribe to Premium. The characters are all original, none a licensed twin, and the paid portion is rated explicit.

Premise and first impressions

Here is the setup as we understand it. A young man is engaged. At a family gathering, his fiancée’s mother shuts down the bachelor party with everyone present. An hour later, once her daughter has gone to bed upstairs, she appears with a private offer to take its place, and two friends of hers enter by the back door. The title states her rule, and the show is organized around the exception she makes to it.

The family scene in the free episodes is played close to comedy, and that is what held my attention longer than I planned.

Some timing details. As of September 25, 2026, ID 290 belonged to it, the top number in the catalog, and its five episodes carried the five largest episode IDs on candy.ai, which usually signals something freshly made. At 08:11 UTC on September 24 our check came up empty; the morning after, at 08:13 UTC, it was listed. By September 28 two newer series, BAD Step-Sister and My Girlfriend’s Sister Just Got Divorced, led the catalog, and they kept that lead before She Was Sent to Kill Me took over at midday.

How it fits into the September 2026 catalog

On September 23, 2026 the candy.ai catalog, Spicy titles included, listed 117 series. A day later the figure was 118, and by September 25 it had reached 122. Four newcomers therefore appeared between our two most recent visits: Not Under My Roof itself; Every Wife on Candy Lane, which follows a plumber’s rounds; The Maid My Wife Hired, confined to one household; and a campus fantasy named I Can See Through Everyone But Her. Eleven series sat in the New filter that day, among them My First Night Shift and Bonnie Blue is My Stepsister, a creator title, and ours had been created most recently. Later arrivals pushed it down the filter, but it stayed there through October 1 and was out by October 2, 2026. Throughout, two of its five episodes remained free.

Episodes at a glance

The platform listed episodes 1 to 5 on September 25, 2026. None has a title or a synopsis, and nothing follows the fifth. Runtime is officially one to three minutes per episode; we have not timed any.

Cast

Not Under My Roof characters and their parts in the story
Character Part in the story
The groom-to-be Unnamed, and the audience’s point of view; his party gets cancelled, then swapped for something else
The future mother-in-law Lays down the house rule before everyone and sidesteps it privately
The bride-to-be Sleeping upstairs and unseen, according to the description
Two friends of the mother Come in via the back door after the house settles down

All four are adult AI creations drawn from the platform’s own original cast, the Candy characters group in the catalog filter. Because no Candy Creators twin is involved, no actual person’s likeness appears, and the platform’s terms rule out real people altogether.

Pricing: two free, three paid

No Spicy tag means the ordinary arrangement. Create a candy.ai account and confirm you are 18 or older, and episodes 1 and 2 are free. Each of the other three costs 12 tokens, so 36 tokens covers them, unless Premium is already active. The cheapest extra token pack in September 2026 was 100 tokens at $9.99, which values those three episodes at roughly $3.60. Premium that month came in three forms: $3.99 a month when committing for a year (one $47.88 charge), $8.99 a month when billed every three months, and $13.99 for a lone month. Every plan covers the whole catalog and brings tokens each month. Promotions change the figures, so see our Candy AI pricing guide for current numbers and the guide to free Candy AI Shorts for the no-cost options.

Content warnings

Strictly 18+. Episodes 3 to 5 have the platform’s explicit rating, which covers nudity and sex scenes, as paid Candy Shorts episodes generally do; the first two only establish the situation. The series carries the Taboo tag. Its central relationship, a mother-in-law-to-be and her daughter’s fiancé, is invented, performed by adult AI characters, and depicts no real family, wedding or individual.

My notes on tone come from the two free episodes only. I have not checked the rating myself, so treat it as the platform’s claim.

Official places to watch

Only two are official. One is the series page inside the Candy Shorts area of candy.ai; the other is candyshorts.com, where the series sits at the not-under-my-roof slug. Each wants you to register and confirm your age, and each streams the first two episodes free. A site offering all five without payment usually means a pirated re-upload or an imitation player that finishes at a payment form; our Candy AI safety guide shows what the genuine checkout looks like. Candy AI Shorts Review has no link to EverAI Ltd., Candy.ai or CandyShorts. Some links on this page are affiliate links: if you buy through them we may be paid a commission, and your price stays the same.

Comparable series

Got Stuck With My Girlfriend’s Stepmom is the nearest relative: a young man in a partner’s parent’s house, with a rule that gets tested. It keeps two people alone together, whereas Not Under My Roof brings in a public veto, a bride who is asleep and two more visitors, and exchanges the Stepmom label for a Taboo one. My Wife’s Best Friend takes the marriage-plus-houseguest route and rests on Riley Reid’s licensed twin, while this cast is wholly original. Every Wife on Candy Lane, released in the same batch, goes the other way: it introduces a new woman in each episode rather than one household under pressure.

Review verdict

What impressed us most is the shape of the setup. A public no is followed by a private yes, in a home where the person with most to lose sleeps upstairs. Five-episode Candy Shorts series normally open at a bedroom door, whereas this one opens on a family row and extracts more from it than its tag would lead you to expect.

Our caveats are standard for a series that landed in late September. Five episodes of one to three minutes are closer to a sketch than a season. We have not seen the paid three, and a house with four adults asks the animation to do more than a two-person story would. Begin with episodes 1 and 2; should the veto scene appeal, the cost of 36 tokens, or of one Premium month, is a small risk.

My pick among September’s non-creator characters, after two episodes, is the mother-in-law: she gets the sharpest lines. Whether she still drives things once her friends arrive is what the paid half must show.

What works

  • Two of the five episodes cost nothing and need only a Candy.ai login.
  • The premise is clear: a public veto followed by a private offer.
  • The cast is original, so no real person’s likeness is involved.

What could be better

  • Five episodes of one to three minutes make a sketch rather than a season.
  • The platform lists no episode titles or synopses.
  • The three paid episodes, 36 tokens in all, are explicit-rated and unseen by us.

Frequently asked questions

Does Not Under My Roof cost anything to watch?

Some of it does. Episodes 1 and 2 are available at no charge once you register at Candy.ai and clear the age gate, with no tokens deducted. Episodes 3 to 5 require either a Premium plan or 12 tokens per episode inside the app. In September 2026 Premium was priced at $3.99 per month on the yearly plan, $8.99 per month on the quarterly plan and $13.99 for one month.

How long is each episode and how many are there?

There are five, numbered 1 to 5 on the candy.ai page as of September 25, 2026, and the page gives neither titles nor episode summaries. Candy Shorts episodes usually run around one to three minutes, a figure we have not checked. Episode 5 is the last one listed, and the platform gives no advance notice of additions.

What is the story of Not Under My Roof?

The groom’s future mother-in-law calls off his bachelor party while the family looks on. About an hour after that, while the bride-to-be sleeps upstairs, the mother makes him a private proposal, and two of her friends also come in by the back door. The series has five episodes, original AI characters, a Taboo tag, and turned up on September 25, 2026.

Is this still the latest Candy AI series?

No. It was the most recent on September 25, 2026: the candy.ai catalog did not have it on September 24, and the next morning it showed up carrying what was then the top series ID. That day, eleven titles were in the New filter. Newer arrivals eventually ranked above it, yet it stayed in the filter through October 1 and had gone from it by October 2.

Should I expect more episodes?

We cannot say. On September 25, 2026 the listing stood at five episodes with no published schedule. Candy Shorts titles can be extended after launch, and extensions are flagged by a New Episodes badge on the page, so that is where to look.

Is anyone in Not Under My Roof a real person?

No. Every role, from the groom-to-be and his future mother-in-law to the bride-to-be and her mother’s two friends, is a fictional adult generated by AI and drawn from the platform’s own cast. No digital twin of a licensed creator is involved, because the series does not belong to Candy Creators, and the terms leave no space for real people on screen.
