The pitch, in our words: one suburban street, husbands off to their jobs each morning, and a local plumber whose most important appointments begin the moment they go. Each front door hides a different woman with her own wishes and ground rules. Everyone on the street seems to know, nobody mentions it, and that makes the plumber the lane’s open secret.

Out of that day’s four arrivals, this is the free pair I ended up watching twice. The mood leans more toward neighborhood sitcom than the tags would have you believe.

It works address by address: a new house each episode, a new woman at each door, and the plumber as the one fixed point. The day before, My First Night Shift had carried this formula into a hotel hallway.

This is an 18+ series. The three paid episodes carry the platform’s explicit rating (nudity and sex scenes), while the two free ones establish the street and the plumber’s rounds. Wife and Taboo are theme tags, not statements about the cast: each woman is an adult AI creation, the husbands are invented too, and no actual street or individual is depicted. Our verdict

What Every Wife on Candy Lane gets right is variety without losing the thread. An uneven episode will not drag down the next, and the plumber’s standing around town gives the lane a backbone the hotel series lacks. Short AI-generated video tends to struggle with wide establishing shots, so lined-up front doors make a sensible stage.

On the downside, only the plumber is developed beyond a single episode, and the Taboo tag will put some readers off outright. The free pair settles the question. Should house two beat house one, 36 tokens completes the street; otherwise a rotating cast will not repair things by episode 5.

Personally, after the free pair I am more taken with the street than with its plumber, and the three locked houses are still unpaid for on my end. I will update this review if he wins me over.
