The Maid My Wife Hired, reviewed: two people, one house, nine to eight

The premise: a story measured in working hours

Candy Shorts blurbs usually stretch to a paragraph, but the text attached to The Maid My Wife Hired ends after one idea. A wife brings in a young maid, then leaves for her job. Between nine in the morning and eight at night, the husband and the maid are the only people at home. Everything after that is left to the viewer, and we are not going to guess on the platform's behalf.

The title appeared quickly. On September 24, 2026 it was missing from candy.ai; the next morning it was live, one of four new arrivals that lifted the platform's tally from 118 series to 122. By October 1, 2026 it had dropped out of the platform's New filter. It comes from the platform's in-house cast instead of the Candy Creators line, and it is tagged Maid, Wife and Taboo.

My first reaction to the one-line blurb was impatience. After the free pair I came around, because the schedule is the story. Eleven hours is a lot of time for a husband and a brand-new employee to fill.

Episode guide and access

The listing as it stood on September 25, 2026 gives five numbered episodes and little more. There are no episode titles, no per-episode synopses and no announced extras. Each episode runs one to three minutes, the standard Candy Shorts length. That is the platform's figure, not something we timed.

Who is in it

The husband

He has no name and he is home during the day, though the blurb never explains why. The whole description is built around him.

The maid

Young, freshly hired and an adult, like every character on Candy Shorts. The title identifies her only through the person who hired her, and the blurb does not name her.

The wife

She does the hiring, goes to work and is out of the picture for the entire window. The series concerns the hours she is away.

All three characters are fictional adults created by the platform, drawn from its in-house cast and not from the Candy Creators program. Nobody real contributed a likeness, and the operator's terms rule out depicting any real person.

The free episodes overturned one assumption. From the title I expected the maid to be the hesitant one, yet it is the husband who seems unsure about the whole arrangement.

What it costs to watch

With an account on Candy.ai and your age verified, Episodes 1 and 2 cost nothing, following the usual non-Spicy pattern. Episodes 3, 4 and 5 are locked, and there are two ways in: a Premium membership, or 12 tokens apiece, which comes to 36 for the trio. The smallest pack sold in September 2026 was 100 tokens for $9.99, so 36 tokens works out to roughly $3.60, just over one third of that pack.

Premium comes in three terms: $3.99 monthly if you sign for twelve months ($47.88 up front), $8.99 monthly for a three-month term, or $13.99 for a single month. It bundles a monthly token allowance with the entire catalog, so it turns cheaper at four or more series of five episodes in one month. Content and age rating

Viewers must be 18 or older. The paid episodes get the platform's explicit rating, meaning nudity and sex scenes, like the other paid episodes across the catalog, while the two free episodes cover the setup. Maid, Wife and Taboo work as filter labels describing the premise. The story is fiction involving adult AI characters. No actual household, employer or individual appears, and we describe none of the scenes.

Legitimate ways to watch

Only two places qualify: the Candy Shorts section of candy.ai, and candyshorts.com, under the slug the-maid-my-wife-hired. Each one wants you to sign in and confirm your age, and the first pair of episodes is free on both. A page that offers every episode at no cost is a re-upload or a trap for payment details. How it stacks up against similar series

In My Wife’s Best Friend, the other woman is a houseguest played by Riley Reid’s licensed twin, and the wife is around but unaware. The Maid My Wife Hired flips that setup. Here the wife is gone for eleven hours daily, the second woman works for the household, and no digital twin is involved.

Every Wife on Candy Lane, a title from that same first batch, also wears the Wife and Taboo tags, yet it moves from door to door along a street, one house per episode. My Neighbor’s Husband Works Nights! has been on the catalog since at least September 23 and approaches absent spouses from the far side of a wall: a husband on night shifts and 3 a.m. knocks at a new tenant’s door.

Among the October 12 additions, The Anniversary Massage has a wife arrange a masseuse as her husband’s anniversary present, and she waits in the next room instead of leaving for eleven hours. Our New Babysitter, which was on the catalog by October 17, 2026, comes nearest among the later arrivals: once again a wife arranges the help, and once again her husband ends up alone with her.

Our verdict

On what we could judge, this is a positive. The setup is spare: a husband, a maid and an empty house until eight, with a title that names who made the decision. Candy Shorts tends to work best when it holds back on extra characters, and this series brings in no one else.

Where it all leads is beyond what we can judge. The blurb halts just as the day starts, and our viewing covered the free half only. If the Maid or Taboo labels put you off, you already know where you stand. If not, the free episodes make a short trial, and the remaining three cost 36 tokens or a Premium subscription.

My honest position: of the September titles, this is the one I most want to see through and the one I can least vouch for, since two episodes of a quiet house cannot tell you how episode 5 lands.

What works

• Registering and passing the age check unlocks Episodes 1 and 2 without tokens.
• The cost is easy to work out: 36 tokens, about $3.60, completes the series.

What could be better

• The blurb is a single idea, and there are no episode titles or synopses.
