What the series is about

Our New Babysitter runs five episodes on one unexamined decision. The married man in the story has a wife who engages the babysitter and never wonders what the sitter might do with him after the house goes quiet. My reservation is common to premises like this one: the setup reveals its only surprise immediately. The remaining episodes need to give the quiet house a purpose, and the first two will show whether a second idea is waiting.

So far, an excellent one-line pitch; my opinion on what follows is on hold.
