My Wife Hired My Nurse reviewed: a patient, a nurse and a wife who stays away

The setup: two broken hands and a hired nurse

Jake is 35, and both of his hands are broken. His wife arranges a home nurse, takes it for granted that an older woman will show up, and goes off to work. The person at the door is Mila, 30, and she handles everything Jake cannot manage alone. His wife never crosses paths with her. The one line of official copy is the tagline “Special Treatment”.

The comedy caught me off guard. Jake, hands out of action, has no authority in his own home, and the free episodes lean into that.

Cast

Only Jake and Mila get names and ages, more detail than most Candy Shorts listings offer; the wife exists mainly as an absence. Everyone is an AI-generated adult from Candy AI's own roster, so no Candy Creators twin appears.

Episodes and access

On October 1, 2026 the listing consisted of five numbered episodes with no titles or synopses, each running one to three minutes according to Candy AI.

Where it landed in the October 1 batch

Series 299 on candy.ai has episode IDs 957 to 961 and sits in the Candy characters cast group. It was absent from the Candy Shorts listing at 13:22 UTC on September 30, 2026 and present by 21:57 UTC on October 1, making it one of four series added in that window; Candy AI gives no tighter date.

Because episode IDs follow creation order, the batch lines up neatly. My Step-Sister’s Bachelorette Party! took 947 to 951, YES MA’AM added five new episodes numbered 952 to 956, this series came next, and Forgive Me, Father followed with IDs 962 to 966, the newest title on October 1. Separately, series 297, The Spicy Stepsister’s Dirty Deal, keeps its episodes hidden from visitors who have no account. The catalog reached 132 series, up from 128, and the New filter held 13 titles. The series carries no theme tag. On the poster, a blonde nurse in blue appears with a second woman wearing a white coat and a man behind her.

Cost: tokens versus Premium

Without a Spicy tag, the paywall begins at episode 3. The final three cost 12 tokens apiece, 36 in total, which comes to about $3.60 if you buy the cheapest pack, 100 tokens for $9.99. Premium covers the whole catalog instead: $13.99 buys a single month, $8.99 per month applies on the quarterly plan, and $3.99 per month on the annual plan, billed at $47.88. Current figures live in our plan-by-plan pricing guide.

I haven't bought the paid three. The free pair ends at a comfortable break, and I felt no rush to push Jake and Mila any further.

How to watch

Candy AI hosts it in Candy Shorts under my-wife-hired-my-nurse, and candyshorts.com carries it too. Each wants you to register and confirm your age first, after which the two free episodes play. Anything claiming to offer all five with no login is a reposted copy or an imitation player built to capture card details; our explainer on leaked Candy AI episodes covers how they operate. This site has no connection with CandyShorts, Candy.ai or EverAI Ltd. Our Candy AI links are affiliate links, which pay us a commission and do not raise your price.

Related series with an absent spouse

The Maid My Wife Hired is the nearest match, with a wife who also brings in hired help and then disappears to work. There the household's owner is home for reasons never explained, whereas Jake's reason is his two broken hands. That maid is young and has no name, whereas Mila is 30 and named. In My Wife’s Best Friend the wife stays home, and the guest is Riley Reid’s licensed twin. Every Wife on Candy Lane stretches the absent-spouse idea over a whole street, and My Neighbor’s Husband Works Nights! plays it out between neighbors. Listed by October 12, 2026, The Anniversary Massage flips the booking into a present: a husband receives an at-home massage that his wife arranged for their anniversary, and she works in the next room.

Review verdict

The setup works better than most Candy Shorts premises, because the injury does real work. It accounts for Jake being at home and for a stranger being hired, and it leaves him reliant on that stranger. In the free episodes this comes across as light comedy rather than heat, with Mila presented as capable before anything else, a choice that deserves more credit than it usually gets.

The weak side is structural. Since the wife stays offstage the whole time, nobody is positioned to object, so tension is thin, and the tagline already signals the direction. A situation fits in five short episodes; a story is harder, and we would have to spend the 36 tokens to find out.

Two episodes in, Mila is the reason I would go back: calm, slightly dry and quietly in command. I haven't seen whether the paid episodes preserve that.

What works

• A clear, comic premise: Jake, 35, has two broken hands, and Mila, 30, arrives instead of the older nurse his wife expected.
• Two of the five episodes are free, so the setup costs nothing to try.
• All three characters are AI-generated adults, so no real person is involved.

What could be better

• The wife never meets Mila and is absent throughout, so tension is thin and the tagline already hints where it heads.
• The three paid episodes cost 36 tokens, about $3.60, unless you hold Premium.
• The listing gives no episode titles or synopses, and the series has no theme tag.
